About the Allis-Chalmers 200
The Allis-Chalmers 200 was introduced in 1972 as a six-cylinder diesel row-crop tractor. It replaced the older 190XT in the lineup and used power steering, an eight-speed constant-mesh transmission, and live PTO with an independent PTO option.
The 200 was built from 1972 through 1975 and was followed by the 7000 Series.
Serial Number Reference
Serial number locations: The tractor serial number is stamped on the right side of the torque housing. The engine serial number is on a nameplate on the upper left side of the cylinder block.
