Alternator is used to convert 6 volt systems to 12 volt systems. It can be used only on negative ground systems. This mini alternator is preferred for tractors requiring a smaller diameter alternator for clearance.
Alternator housing measures 4-1/4” in diameter and includes a 2-3/4” diameter pulley with a 1/2” belt width. If you need a 5/8" pulley please view AB-2315D
*Updated 05-24-2021* This Alternator no longer uses a external diode. We now only sell the 1 Wire Mini Alternator - 12 Volt 12V - 35 amps. To establish a functional connection, it is necessary to route a wire originating from the alternator, passing through the ammeter, and ultimately reaching the positive terminal of the battery. In order to initiate the self-excitation process, it is imperative to elevate the engine's revolutions per minute (RPM) to a range of 800 to 850.
