The Allis-Chalmers 7000 was introduced in 1975 as a later model in the 7000 Series. It was a six-cylinder diesel row-crop tractor with power steering, independent PTO, and the heavier frame and hydraulic system expected for larger field work.
The 7000 was built from 1975 through 1979. Maroon-chassis tractors were built from 1975 through 1978, while black-chassis tractors were built from 1978 through 1979. The black-chassis version began at serial number 8000 in 1978 and received a new transmission design and cab.
Serial number locations: The tractor serial number is stamped on the right rear of the differential housing, near the right lift cylinder.
