About the Allis-Chalmers I400

The I400, also written I-400, followed the I40 in the Allis-Chalmers industrial tractor range. Built in West Allis, Wisconsin, from 1966 through 1968, it used a four-cylinder 2.4-liter gasoline engine rated at 40.6 horsepower. It featured two-wheel drive and power steering and was offered for loader and backhoe work.
