About the Allis-Chalmers 8030
The Allis-Chalmers 8030 was part of the 8000 Series introduced in 1982. The serial reference shows only eight tractors for 1981, serial numbers 1001 through 1008, which were likely pre-production or test tractors built ahead of the 1982 release. Its six-cylinder diesel, independent PTO, hydrostatic power steering, and standard Acousta cab gave it the equipment expected of a modern large row-crop tractor.
The 8030 was available in two- or four-wheel drive, with a high-crop variant also listed. It occupied the middle of the 8000 Series between the 8010 and 8050.
Serial Number Reference
Serial number locations: The tractor serial number appears on a decal on the left side of the frame just ahead of the fuel tank. It is also stamped into the casting at the rear of the tractor, above and to the left of the PTO shaft.
