About the Allis-Chalmers B

Allis-Chalmers designed the Model B for smaller farms that needed an affordable, useful tractor without the size of a full-scale machine. Introduced in 1937, the B was light and narrow, with an arched front axle and high clearance that made it useful around one-row crops, truck farms, and nurseries.

The Model B was also notable for being sold with pneumatic tires rather than an optional steel-wheel setup. Production continued through 1957.
