Allis Chalmers C Tractor Parts

About the Allis-Chalmers C

Allis-Chalmers built the Model C as a small row-crop tractor for farms that needed more room and capability than the Model B. Introduced in 1940, it used a 125-cubic-inch four-cylinder engine and a simple three-speed transmission. Its compact size and row-crop layout made it useful for cultivating, general farm work, and smaller fields.

The Model C was built at West Allis, Wisconsin, through 1949. The CA followed it in 1950, making the C an important link between the early B and the later compact tractors.

Serial Number Reference

Serial number locations: The tractor serial number is stamped on top of the transmission case, behind the shift lever. The engine serial number is on the rear left-hand side of the engine.
